Baba Brinkman makes evolutionary science not only accessible but genuinely entertaining. Striking and surprising, but convincing, parallels between the theory of evolution and the theory of rap are tackled, without diluting his material or alienating his audience. 

It’s possible to get lost in some of his faster-paced numbers, and the show doesn’t quite shake the seminar feel, nor does it deliver laugh-a-minute comedy of a more typical stand-up. Yet making you laugh is only one of Brinkman’s priorities: he also wants you to learn.
