Mogwai sells piano for Haiti

Tour piano auctioned off to help earthquake victims

Scottish noiseniks Mogwai are auctioning off a piano to raise money to help the victims of Haiti’s earthquake.

The Kawai MP8 Mark I piano, which comes fully flight-cased, was used by Barry Burns during the band’s 2006-2007 world tour.


The band urged bidders: “Dig deep please, it’s for a very good cause.”


The winner of the piano will also receive a Mogwai Young Team vinyl box set, a vinyl test pressing of the upcoming Mogwai album Special Moves, the limited edition box set of Special Moves on triple vinyl which also includes the DVD of Burning, a live film by Vincent Moon, and five screen printed live posters.
