Friend of Michael Jackson blames himself for star's tragic downfall
As the world reels from the shock of Michael Jackson's death, Uri Geller has spoken of his guilt over the part he played in the tragic popstar's downfall.
The spoonbender admitted that he deeply regrets arranging the television interview with Martin Bashir that started the tragic star’s downward spiral.
He claimed that the famous televised interview began the unravelling of Jackson’s life, which has now ended with his untimely death.
Geller said: "I feel very guilty that I introduced Michael to Martin Bashir. He conned me to get him to Michael Jackson by pulling out an old crumpled letter from Princess Diana, praising him for an interview he did with her.
"I took Bashir to his hotel and then I left after I made the introduction. Then Michael made a devastating mistake by not calling his manager, lawyer, and agent before signing his life away. Then he continued making mistakes whilst he was being interviewed."
The pseudo-psychic added: "That was when the spiral started going downwards."
