What is the future of CCTV?
Thanks for an insightful and well balanced article. There are a lot of misconstrued statistics in the media about CCTV which are trumpeted inapproprately by the 'anti' crowd so often that they become urban myths. The reality is more complex than their biased headlines, so your wide-ranging opinions here are welcome. Regards, Simon Lambert Independent CCTV consultant www.lambert-associates.co.uk

Charlotte Church makes low-key comeback
This article makes it seem like the night was all for Charlotte church to showcase her new songs. I really can't believe this, by the authors admission church sang 3 songs one of which was a cover and one of which shes stolen from Jonathan. Not much of a showcase for her new album. this article should focus on who the night was really about. JONATHAN POWELL. he is an AMAZING talent and it was his gig. look at the ticket it says Jonathan Powell not Charlotte Church. This article is a joke.

Tommy's return to the frontline
There was a mass campaign to stop Tony Blair taking our country to war and that never worked. I totally agree with what Tommy stands for and that we should make a stand but it just feels as if we the people are nothing compared to the power of Capitalism.

Derren Brown
Andrew, thank you for your well written article. I've been following Derren Brown for quite some time now. His core philosophies mirrors most of my own, and your interview with helped remind me of important things I had forgotten. The article is an inspiration. If you are ever in NYC, I would love to show you around.

Flight chaos could have been avoided
I should have been on holiday just now but have stayed at work just in case there's more problems. That volcano better erupt again or I'll be really annoyed!

Shirley Williams
Baroness;) Shirley Williams' Climbing the Bookshelves is a great read; highly recommend it. I have always been a big Shirley Williams fan. Shirley Williams notes that people insist on calling her "Baroness" -- Of course they do!:) Because she is a member of the Upper House, and a stateswoman, most people likely feel it disrespectful not to say Baroness (same as Senator). Point taken though on silly social aristocratic/noble titles, and spouses. But her title is professional, not just social.

Thanks for reminding me to get round to doing this. Sometimes even the best intentions can get forgotten, so it's good to have it flagged up. Signing up was easier than I thought it would be and now I won't have to think about it again!

Know the Score: there’s no glamour to cocaine
All young people who use drug, dont know exactly consequences they can have, drug makes u addictive,so u finish to use it just for habit and to ruin ur health. So we should create a deal to fight against drug but especially to make understand young people that to enter in a group of friends for exemple or to be accepted by society they dont need to use substances like drug or risking to die. These people need help and only with everyones help we can struggle this big issue.....

Scots urged to get hooked on fish
We are truly fortunate to live in a country rich with such wonderful - and delicious - natural resources! The Scots are a nation of seafood addicts. It is just a pity that most people consume their portions deep fried, and miss out on the best flavours!
